Room Climate Data Logger
CO2 Data logger
Air quality data logger for 5 parameters / Measures temperature, humidity, CO2, PM2.5 and air pressure /SD storage / XLS format / Large LCD / Power adapter and battery operation
One of the best ways to provide an appropriate control of the indoor air is an application of the Room Climate Data Logger. An expert on safety and health in the workplace can easily give a profound and detailed description of the indoor climate, since with the help of the room air data logger application, one gets all the required data (air quality parameters, like temperature, humidity, CO2, dust particles, air pressure) at his disposal and can carry out a professional analysis. The obtained data are not lost due to the SD-memory-card-storage option in XLS format. The latter feature is a facilitation or the user, and there is no need to use any additional software for reading the data. Excel is absolutely enough for that.
The design of the Room Climate Data Logger is such that a look at the large screen may be sufficient for getting and overview of not only all the measured parameters, but also current time. The user has an option of how to operate the device, either power supply (9 V) or batteries. An advantageous feature is that the user gets an auxiliary notification when the situation with the room climate gets worse and some measures are required. If the values go beyond the permissible range, the alarm sounds. Thus, the operator not only is able to fully characterize the current indoor climate, but also to react immediately.
How can one make the indoor climate better?
To improve the indoor air quality may be easy if there are slight deviations from the norm values and some of the parameters are higher than the specified limits just insignificantly. Such measures can be carried out by anyone and do not involve high financial expenses. The windows in the room should be opened immediately and appropriate airing must be carried out. Depending on the season, the shutters on the windows may be used if it is summer, or the containers with water may be placed in the room, where the heating is on in winter, to provide evaporation and avoid extreme dryness of the air. Quite helpful may be the acquisition of the room plants with lots of green leaves, since they participate in the production of oxygen and bad gases absorbing.
If the Room Climate Data Logger for indoor climate monitoring indicates that the parameters have gone much higher than desirable, short-term airing may be not enough. In such cases, application of additional air conditioning and cleaning devices is desirable. Besides, dust must be eliminated out of the room: both measures, intense dedusting and wet cleaning must be taken. Such measures lead to certain costs-increase, but they will provide continuous help in the improvement of the room climate.
Determination on the improvements of the room climate
Quick reaction and taking productive steps in order to improve the indoor climate are very important. How effective are they? – may be a logical question, which may be answered only after an attentive observation. The values “before” can be compared with the values “after”. Here, one must be careful not to make hasty conclusions. There may be a very quick positive change right after the application of the measures (from simple airing to the installation of the new filters and AC systems), but it does not mean that the desirable very positive effect will be long-term. That is why, continuous monitoring is desirable to find out if there are any other external factors that may seriously influence the room air quality.
Calibration of the device
The devices ordered from PCE Instruments are not only delivered to the customer, but they are also factory-calibrated (1-2 days delivery time). In case, the compliance with ISO norms (e.g. DIN ISO 9000) is required, PCE Instruments provides an option of purchasing the ISO calibration certificate (delivery time with the certificate 4-7 days). A few steps, like creation of the test protocol, including the data about your firm, and including the indoor climate data loggers into your in-house ISO test equipment pool, enable to make conclusion about compliance of the devices with the Norms. The whole procedure takes some time (from 3 to 5 days) and must be carried out only if the ISO certification is needed. Besides that, to provide correct and accurate operation of the device, recalibration is desirable.
The frequency of recalibrating procedures is usually specified, but it may also be done any time on demand. The user has got a chance, whether to carry it out for all the measurands (5 in the air quality data logger) or just for the most significant ones, which are likely to change tremendously, like relative humidity or dust load. The latter is called partial calibrations and may be carried out with the purpose of saving some costs. You are welcome to have a look at the presented certificates: tab “Accessories / Options”.
