Pitot Pipe Anemometer PCE-PDA 10L
Anemometer for relative and differential pressure measurements / Pitot pipe adaptable to the anemometer / MAX MIN function / Data logger
The pitot pipe anemometer can measure the wind speed by means of a pitot pipe via the differential pressure. The Pitot pipe anemometer calculates the air flow velocity through the measured ambient pressure and the incoming pressure. Therefore, the device has several measuring functions. Thus, the measuring device is capable of measuring or calculating the differential pressure, relative pressure, flow velocity and also the volumetric flow. The connection of a Pitot pipe to the measuring instrument is carried out through the hoses with the help of quick couplings. Different hoses are available depending on the application of the Pitot pipe anemometer.
The Pitot pipe anemometer is equipped with a large display, which in the measuring mode is divided into two reading ranges. The main display shows the measured differential pressure. The underlying secondary display uses the Pitot pipe anemometer to display the calculated measurements. In addition, the maximum and minimum differential pressure can be displayed in the two-part graphic display. Here, however, the measured ambient temperature can also be visualized. The Pitot pipe anemometer has got a backlit display. The resolution of the differential pressure can be by choice switched-over. A precision mode is integrated, which increases the resolution by a factor of ten.
For further data processing, the Pitot pipe anemometer is equipped with a memory. Via the USB interface, it can be read out with the help of the software. Thus, the Pitot pipe anemometer can be used not only in the field, but also in the laboratory.
Note: The fitting Pitot pipe can be found in the accessories of this Pitot pipe anemometer.
Anemometer DIN ISO Requirements
Each HVAC system must meet the current requirements and in particular, DIN EN 12599, which means that the equipment should pass a series of tests before full commissioning and regular operation. The methods applied as well as the measuring instruments (for instance Pitot pipe anemometers) used for the testing purpose must all meet the requirements and be approved. The European standards go through the modifications and tend to change with the time, that is why it is especially important for the producers and users to stay up-to-date, so that the equipment always works in compliance with the standards. DIN EN 12599 refers to the test procedures before the ventilation system is handed over. The test may vary, from the simplest ones, to the more detailed and comprehensive, if there is a need for that. It means that the systems must be checked in the process of their manufacturing, installation, before and after commissioning and of course, during the operation. Only with the help of the certified auxiliary devices, like, for example, Pitot tube anemometers PCE-HVAC 2 and PCE-PDA 10L, the check may be carried out professionally and quickly. Such Pitot pipe anemometer devices are capable to efficiently determine the most important characteristics for the HVAC system: airflow, air pressure, air velocity, ambient temperature and detect whether there are deviations from the required parameter ranges. Application of a Pitot pipe anemometer provides confidence that the ventilation system under test is capable of being in operation and provide the best and most comfortable ambient conditions.
